With the launch of the new iPads, I must admit that I’ll invest in the latest iPad Pro. I get criticized for being an all-Apple shop by several users. The cost of iPhones, iPads, and Macs is criticized, but I see it as investing in quality tools to do my job. There are several reasons why I buy Apple products over Windows or Android.
Fit and Fisnish.
Apple has long since used premium metals in the construction of its devices. It adds a premium feel to the device, and I like the feeling of glass and metal on all my high-end devices. I know it costs more, but that feeling is like a symbol of quality and longevity.
Longevity
Talking about longevity, my iPad Pro is several generations old at this time, but for my daily tasks, it is more than powerful enough to perform without delay. I’m just looking to upgrade to the latest iPad Pro because I make two-minute videos for my charitable work, and I would like to upgrade to Final Cut Pro on the iPad. I use iMovie, which is good enough for now, but I want to make more animated videos, so I need to look into using a pro app. I only updated my iPhone this year to switch to USB-C; otherwise, I would’ve continued rocking the iPhone 14 Pro. None of my old devices go to waste. I employ a hand-me-down system with my parents and friends. Even iPhones are as old as the iPhone 7. I use them as B cameras for my charity work. Once a device is dead or no longer in use, I give it to Apple to have it recycled.
Ecosystem
The best reason for using all Apple products is the Apple ecosystem. I can switch from listening to music on my Mac Mini and handoff to my iPhone, then to my car, then to my iPad Pro at the restaurant, all without doing anything but working on the device in question. That works for Ulessys as well. I can switch devices, and when I open the app on the other device, it’s already updated to the latest version. All the devices communicated together. They share their location and settings. They can even share their 5G and Wi-Fi connections without me having to do anything. Steve Jobs loved saying, “It just works like magic.”
In Conclusion
While I will admit that I pay a premium for Apple products, when I consider all the benefits and how many years I will be using the device, I feel it is an investment well spent. Do you use Apple Products, and if you do, what is your favorite feature?
