Every year, I make it a point to attend Fan Fusion. It’s the ultimate comic book convention in the Phoenix Metro Area, and it’s more than just about comics. There’s cosplay, where people dress up as their favorite characters. There’s gaming from consoles to arcade machines and everything in between. There are paid autographs and photo opportunities. There are sales of all things collecting. And last but not least, Fan Fusion is all about nerds.

As a writer, I love to attend panels from other writers about character and world development. I also get to meet celebrities and pick their minds. I’m also a big fan of my Funko Pop collection. I’ve always wanted to go in costume, but something always gets in the way of that dream. This year, my job became more about helping my partners and her son have a great time at Fan Fusion. I don’t regret it one bit. The looks on their faces were priceless.

Have you been to Fan Fusion or another comic book convention? Would you dress up in costume or would you visit the tattoo shops on display to get some ink?
