I have already told you that the AirPods Pro Max is one of my favorite things, but carrying $550 headphones out in public is not practical. I have the perfect solution to that problem: enter the AirPods Pro 2. AirPods Pro 2 are Apple’s high-end in-ear headphones designed to be portable noise-canceling headphones. I carry these headphones everywhere I go for several reasons, even at their $249 price tag.
The Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes are to die for in earbuds. I have to say that I have yet to find better noise cancellation and an excellent transparency mode for lightweight and wireless earbuds. As a writer, there are times when I need to work without distractions, and with someone with ADHD, it’s very easy to become distracted. SQUIRREL! With the AirPods Pro 2 and their Active Noise cancellation, I can usually work even in the busiest coffee shops without the noise being a distraction. For times when I’m walking in public or crossing a parking lot, the transparency mode is a God send. It pumps in the relevant noise from the outside world while canceling everything else.
MagSafe Charging is a game changer. Charging with a wire is so cumbersome at times. I love to just set the charging case of the AirPods 2 on any wireless charger and top off my 6-hour battery.
Another feature of the AirPods Pro 2 that is wonderful for my work life is Seamless switching. I often switch between my iPhone, iPad, and Mac, so to have the AirPods Pro 2 automatically detect the device I’m using for music is terrific.
Another feature that I love is Notification Announcements. Siri reads my messages and alerts to me. It’s also so easy to reply with Siri. I must admit that since my voice is very raspy these days, Siri has some trouble occasionally, but when it works, it saves me tons of time.
The AirPods Pro 2 is part of my EDC. I use them daily and have since their release. They are not the cheapest wireless headphones, but I love all the features and am convinced they come with.
