Cricut makes fantastic machines that let you create amazing things! To get the most out of them, you’ll need a set of weeding tools. The pointed hook tool is the most important one. Cricut includes a small tool for weeding with their machines, but it’s not the best, and the sets they make aren’t very sharp. The sharper the tool’s point, the easier it can grab material and pull it from the backing. That’s where the Cricut True Control Tool comes in. This tool has a locking handle and a set of heads. Two of these heads are the most important: the curved hook and the Exact-o style blade. Both of these heads are super helpful when weeding vinyl. The tool is easy to use, making crafting fun and safer. First, make sure the handle is in the unlock position. Then, push the handle onto the tool. Push in the lock button and twist. Finally, pull the head from the package. These tool heads are super sharp, so it’s important to keep your fingers off them to avoid cuts.

The only thing I think could be a downside to the Cricut True Control Tool is that it uses proprietary heads, which is where the cost goes up, especially with the Exact-o style hobby knife blade. You can get replacements for about $5 for four blades, but on Amazon, Exact-o style blades are $7 for 300 blades. But think about how convenient and safe it is. It really comes down to what you prefer.

Have you had a chance to try the Cricut True Control Tool?
