Beginning in 2015, I really took a closer look at losing weight and getting more healthy. I still have a long way to go on that journey. As part of my weight loss journey, I realized I needed help fast. I started at 515 lbs. Yes, you are reading that right. I went to a weight loss doctor who said the safest way was to start that day eating and getting more active, but that a weight loss surgery was the best option considering at the time I was dealing with a lot of health issues. As part of the eating right and after the surgery, water consumption became a focus, especially where I live. The summer days average about 115° Fahrenheit. So I was tasked with drinking at least a gallon of water a day. That meant that I also had to keep track of my water intake. I looked at the time in the Apple Store. Apple was selling the Hidratespark smart water bottles. I bought two, one for me and one for my dad. The Hidratespark smart water bottle uses a scale built into the sensor in the base of the bottle to keep track of the amount of fluid consumed. Using the companion app, I told the bottle that I was drinking water, and it logs the amount of water that I drink. I have a 21 oz bottle, so it takes roughly 6.5 bottles to get my goal of one gallon of water daily. The app also logs the information into Apple Health and several other health apps. Now when I go to the doctor for my check-ups, I bring reports from Apple Health about the total and average water I drink daily and my diabetes blood glucose levels. Sure, without the Hidratespark smart water bottle, I could have just logged the water intake manually, but with the Hidratespark, it makes it effortless and like a game. That makes one less thing that I need to worry about throughout my day.
Have you tried the Hidratespark smart water bottle or a similar product?
