I’ve mentioned Nintendo products quite a bit on this blog, and for good reason—it’s one of my absolute favorites! Nintendo was the first console I ever played with as a kid. My very first gaming system was an original Gameboy. The first thing I bought with my first real paycheck was an original Nintendo DS. I’ve owned and played games on several other brands, but I always find myself coming back to Nintendo. Nintendo might not be the most powerful systems out there, but they make up for it with pure enjoyment. There’s something about a Mario Kart match or a level in Donkey Kong that just hits the spot, something that games like Halo or GTA just can’t quite replicate. It’s hard to believe that a system as low-powered as the Nintendo Switch 2 can consistently outsell the competition month after month. Nintendo, with their exclusive titles while competitors are calling exclusive titles dead, manages to hold their own. I honestly don’t care about which system sells the most units or has the most processing power as long as it can play games that are fun and entertaining. Nintendo might not have every AAA games, but they make up for it with a fantastic collection of their own games that I find much more enjoyable. I know I might be labeled as a Nintendo Fan-boy, and I might be, but for me and my needs, Nintendo and their games are why I keep coming back time and time again.
