What is MagSafe
Apple’s new MagSafe connections are a game-changer for me. I embraced the wireless charging revelation with my old iPhone XR. Now I admit that wireless charging is nothing new, especially for those readers that prefer the Android side of the mobile war, but Apple’s MagSafe fixes the issue that all wireless chargers have been plagued with, missing the charging coil. Apple’s solution for this problem was to circle the coils with magnets. The magnets lock the coils into place and completely aline the coils for the best connection.
MagSafe Accessories I Use
I was disappointed when I learned that the best camera was again not going to be on the (Product) Red iPhone. Unlike my choice with the iPhone XR, where I went with the (Product) Red iPhone, I went with the best camera experience with the iPhone 12 Pro Max (what a mouthful). I did go with the matching leather (Product) Red MagSafe case for my new iPhone. This case has magnets that lock onto the ones around the coil and even provide feedback that tells me that I connected a (Product) Red iPhone case. It’s a nice touch, Apple. I use the Apple MagSafe charging puck. If one downside I found buying a $39 wireless charging station, it doesn’t come with the wall plug. That is Apple’s way to save cash and protect the environment. Lastly, I use the MagSafe Wallet.
More About The Wallet
I will admit that the wallet was not likely to be my favorite accessory, but now that I use it daily, it has reached that status. The MagSafe Wallet uses the magnet system to connect the wallet to the iPhone. It sounds simple, but the engineering that went into the wallet is not trivial. Magnets and credit cards don’t work together very well. Apple stitched in a shielding lining into the leather case to protect against the harmful effects of magnets.
Quality Is Built-In
The leather itself is soft and well made. I bought the brown because over time it will age nicely. The wallet is designed to hold three cards snugly. The MagSafe system holds the wallet to the back of the iPhone but still allows me to detach it when I want to use a card or going to put the phone on the charging puck for the night. I have retired my old wallet to holding cards that I seldom need, and I only carry my two bank cards and driver’s license in the Apple MagSafe Wallet.
In Conclusion
I find that wallets are like keychains. Everyone has their own opinion on form and function. This article has been my option on the beautiful and functional Apple MagSafe Leather Wallet. What do you think about the technology of MagSafe? Have you gone to a slim wallet, or are you a person with 100 cards in their wallet (not judging)? Share your comments below. I love to hear from you.
