Okay, first, let me say how amazed I am at the interest in my fountain pen collection. I will and have been replying to messages left in the comments field.

The number one question is, what is my everyday carry fountain pen? Hands down, the Retro 51 Tornado P-51 Mustang is by far my go-to fountain pen. I have two. One I take daily and one in my collection. I typically pair it with Diamine Writer’s Blood Ink, but that will change next month as we move into the Christmas holiday season. Stay tuned to see what Diamine holiday ink I choose for this year.

While the Retro 51 Tornado P-51 Mustang is always on me, it’s usually not the only Retro 51 Tornado fountain pen I carry. Retro 51 makes several versions of the Tornado fountain pen, and I have to say I find them all quite delightful. The Tornado is a beautiful design and stable writing platform. It’s heavy, made entirely of metal, and paired with a custom Retro 51 Nib, I find it easy to use and a joy to write with. Hence, I own so many of them in my collection. The Nib glides across the page with ease and eloquence that is not easily surpassed. There is no need to press down on the nib as it releases ink on contact with the page.

I always pair my pens with Diamine ink. I love the assignment of ink colors and styles that Diamine offers. I use Diamine Writer’s Blood most of the year, a dark burgundy that fades to a dark red as it dries. I switch my inks up a little during different times of the year, especially the holidays. I like the Diamine Noel, a red part of Diamine’s holiday collection a year or two back. This year, I might mix it up with another Diamine holiday ink. You will need to follow for updates.

So, I told you my go-to everyday carry fountain pen and what ink I typically use. Please leave comments and questions below, and I will reply directly or in good time with an article like this one.
