Viewers of my YouTube channel will notice that while I’m working in the shop, I wear an apron. I do this for several reasons. Aprons are handy places to store tools at arm’s reach, but the most important one is that it protects my clothes from damage. At first, I was using a cheap workshop apron that I found on Amazon. It was the cheapest canvas I have ever seen, and needless to say, it lasted a month. After the Amazon apron failed, I decided to invest in the one from Adam Savage, yes, the MythBusters guy. He now runs a YouTube channel called Tested where he shows what happens in his shop and what things he is making. Adam often wears an apron in his shop, but he was running into the same problem I had. The aprons on the market today just suck. They are low quality. They don’t fit right. Their materials don’t hold up, and the manufacturers don’t stand behind their product. Enter Adam’s Savage Industries Apron, also known as the ASA One. With it, Adam wanted to create the ultimate workshop apron for himself. After tons of viewers reached out to him, he worked with a local supplier to mass-produce the apron. With that said, they stand behind their product with a lifetime warranty. The aprons are constructed with 18oz cotton canvas, oiled tanned leather, and nylon webbing with plastic buckles. With the quality it comes with, a hefty price tag compared to the others on the market, but quality and made in America come at a premium. I prefer to pay the premium and get quality over quantity. After I got the Savage Industries Apron, I have to say that I love this apron. It is heavy-duty construction and protection.
