The items in my pockets, also known as my Everyday Carry (EDC), change throughout the year. Things come, and things go. I adapt to new things and phase out old things. It’s time for another edition of “What’s in My Pocket.”
Apple iPhone 14 Pro (512GB, Space Black)
My pocket workhorse is still the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. I upgraded last year, and even though Apple’s iPhone 15 has some of the features that I have been coveting for some time, I have yet to make the jump. I still take tons of photos and videos with my iPhone and want to switch to a completely USB-C lifestyle. I can’t force myself to make the leap. I think I will hold out at this point for the iPhone 16.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Silicone Case with MagSafe (PRODUCT)RED
Anyone who knows me knows I would go with the (Product) RED iPhone case. Red is my favorite color. I have to admit, after about a year of the silicone case, I do miss the leather. The silicone just doesn’t patina like the leather cases do. Apple has discontinued the leather cases, and I prefer the first-party options, so I’m sticking with the silicone case.
Apple Leather Wallet with MagSafe – Now with Find My Support – Midnight
In 2021, I condensed my wallet into the MagSafe Wallet. With Apple Pay now a requirement for me to shop at a given place, I seldom need to pull out my cards anymore. With ease, I can fit the cards I need the most into the Apple wallet. I also love that I have the leather version. This version was the first version to connect to the Find My Network to ping the location of where the wallet was disconnected from the iPhone just in case I lose my wallet, which hasn’t happened so far.
Victorinox Swiss Army Spartan Pocket Knife
The Boy Scout in me strikes again. It seems as if I have always carried a Victorinox Swiss Army Pocket Knife. As you can read in the article from last week, the Victorinox Swiss Army Spartan Knife is one of my favorite things. I still find it an invaluable piece of my everyday carry.
Apple AirPods Pro 2
Music is how I fight distractions. While at my desk, I either have music playing through my HomePod on my desk or I use Apple AirPods Max. On the go, I prefer to leave the $500 headphones at home. I use the Apple AirPods Pro 2. Whether working at a coffee shop or grocery shopping, I have my AirPod Pros jamming to music. The noise cancellation is fantastic for such a small package, and the handoff feature makes working with Apple products unbeatable.
Retro 51 Tornado P-51 Mustang
As readers of this site know from last year’s posts, I love carrying and using fountain pens. My favorite everyday carry is the Retro 51 Tornado P-51 Mustang with a fine nib. I use it daily and seldom use a rollerball or ballpoint pen anymore.
Solo Pen Sleeve
To protect the stunning Retro 51 pen, I use a Rickshaw Bags Solo Pen Sleeve. Of course, I had it costumed to be all red. Like Rickshaw’s begs, this sleeve is made-to-order in their San Francisco, California factory. The martial and build quality is top-notch, and I support them 100%.
